Service

A website audit for your small business.

A written review of the website you have now: how it appears in search, how it works on a phone, how quickly it loads and whether it makes it easy to get in touch. Findings come with the fixes listed in priority order.

What an audit looks at

  • Search appearance. Whether each page has its own clear title, description and main heading, and whether pages compete with each other.
  • Crawling and indexing. Your robots.txt and sitemap, canonical addresses, redirects between the www and non-www and http and https versions, and pages that search engines are told to skip.
  • Mobile use. Text size, tap targets, layout and navigation on a phone.
  • Speed. Heavy images, scripts and other things that slow the page down.
  • Content and enquiry path. Whether a visitor can tell what you offer and reach the contact form or phone number in a click or two, and whether the form works.
  • Accessibility basics. Image descriptions, colour contrast, headings and keyboard use.
  • Business information. Your name, address and phone number stated consistently, and structured data that matches what the page says.
  • Housekeeping. Broken links, error pages and a valid HTTPS certificate.

What you receive

A written report that lists what was checked, what was found and what to fix first, each finding explained in plain language. Fixing the issues is separate work and only goes ahead if you ask for it and the scope is agreed.

What an audit is not

An audit finds problems; it does not rank your site. Nobody can guarantee a position on Google, and Vornello does not. If you can give view access to your Google Search Console, the audit can use your real search data. Without it, the audit is limited to what can be checked from the site itself.

What we need from you

The address of your website, what it is meant to achieve and, if you have it, view access to Search Console. Enter the address in the “Existing website” field of the enquiry form and say in the description that you would like an audit.

The scope and price are confirmed in writing before you pay. You can also run a first check yourself with the website SEO audit checklist.
